My Personal Opinion of the Fitbit Versa
If you are looking for a new fitbit or are completely new to fitbit, this is the watch I would recommend. It is stacked with an abundance of features to keep you on track.
It is in the mid-price range. Comparable to Garmin’s Vivoactive 3 but averaging a price point that is 100 dollars cheaper.
I am personally a Garmin fan but this watch is seriously questioning my loyalty. It looks as though I may finally make the switch and give fitbit a try.
Although, it is a great watch overall there are a few features I would like to comment on.
CONNECTED GPS means that I would have to carry along my phone while running so I can have accurate distance, pace, and elevation stats. However, I am used to carrying around my phone as it is but what is the purpose of having Fitbit Pay and Music Storage if I am going to continue using my phone for GPS purposes. Just a thought.
Nevertheless, there is still a convenience to Fitbit Pay and Music Storage though. It is a watch you wear all day so there will be many times when you are out and about, even at work where these features can be useful. Oh, and if you are like me and that damn iPhone gets too cold during winter running and powers off, you have backup tunes and hey, maybe you need water from the store mid-run.
BATTERY LIFE sits at 4 days. This is not horrible and you can charge it anytime but my Garmin lasts 7 days on average.
These points are how I came to the conclusion that the Fitbit Versa is a solid 4.5/5. Great job Fitbit!
